Hi guys!

BF4 is almost not playable because i lag allot. My internet can't be the problem because i just upgraded to fiber and before i had fiber i also had this problem.

My GPU usage is around 55% (R9 270x) and my CPU usage is 100% - 99% (FX-6300 @4GHz).

Is my CPU bottlenecking my system?

I have read something about parking cores? I don't know what it is and will it help with preformance?

Thanks!

4ghz? thats too low mate. get it to 4.5 if you have hyper 212, or higher. or if you dont, get it. its cheap all over the world, in europe 28€, and in US even cheaper.

I already have a giant CPU cooler :P But i overclocked it a while ago and now i forgot how to do it..

666MHz :(

it's probably 1333 mhz, in windows most of the time it's displayed at half the actual speed.

I downloaded Geek bench and it said 666 MHz but it could just be 1333 ;p It is really cheap Corsair RAM

Thanks!

Unparking cores is done already in win 8.1 (see people complaining about battery life on laptops/tablets).

If you are on Win 7 it can help quite a bit.

http://www.coderbag.com/Programming-C/Disable-CPU-Core-Parking-Utility

Click unpark cores, reboot. Done. Utility will tell you if they were parked or not. I measured wattage and voltage  and temps used before and after. If there is a difference? I couldn't see it, or it was so slight I couldn't tell the difference. My I7 still goes down to ..001, still idles in the 20's and max temps are still he same.

No idea why cinebench/stress tests would unpark the cores and Planetside 2/BF4 wouldn't. Whatever though, Unparking cores made everything stupidly fast. To the people saying HT hurts in BF4. No :).The more threads the better. If you hate Win 8.1 like me (multitasking is horrid) then unparking cores is way to go. The more threads the better. If you are on a laptop that can barely handle the temps with cores parked? Yeah unparking cores might be bad. That is why laptops suck for gaming. They can't even handle rendering with all threads going without hitting close to throttling temps though.

DDR stands for Double Data Rate. You take the 666 and double it to get 1333.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/
