144hz Monitor overclocking

Hey guys,

I thought about overclocking my 144hz monitor (benq xl2411 ) for months

and now i did and i started from 146hz and my screen went black!

I know i cannot overclock WOW . i turned fast to 144hz back

but i am still scared if i harmed my monitor or it is still harming,

I texted if my monitor was frame skipping but it didnt: i tested it on the testufo with a iphone 7 slow motion and taking photos )

So i am asking should i test more or is everything ok because i am not using the OC refreshrate anymore.

This is my first time on Forums and i hope i can get a solution.

You didn't break any thing... also you already have 144hz kinda pointless trying to squeeze some more out of it personally speaking.

It will never be damaged for minor exposures. Long time exposures to high clocks without cooling will damage. So no, nothing is damaged. Go up by 1 hz at a time and play with the timing presets. I had my monitor get a extra 4 hz by doing that.

what do those 4hz do for you? im curious... it seems to me that if you can get atleast 15hz its not going to be noticeable thus why bother?

The Highest I could go without getting artifacts is 65hz. The absolute highest I can go is 72hz with artifacts. I really don't see a difference.
