Hd 598 still good?

Why wouldn't they be good? Audio is not like computer HW so it doesent really matter how old they are. They still sound as good as they did few years back.

I've been looking for new open back headphones and the 598s look pretty great. I'm curious if they're still good even though they're a few years old. I've never had open back or audiophile headphones, and I have been trying to move away from gaming headsets.

I'll mostly be gaming, but I also listen to a lot of music at my computer as well as watch movies every now and then. I'm open to other suggestions too in the same price area.

I would still consider them to be one of the best open back headphones in the 200$ price range. Age doesn't matter here like WereCat allready said.
