Where did you get this idea from? It's perfectly within the guidelines to post links in threads like these. To quote the CS:

No advertising of any non LTT/LMG material

  • eBay/trading sites, personal websites or businesses except where appropriate. (Eg who can do data recovery in Vancouver, Anyone know where I can get this part?)
  • Twitch/YouTube links are only allowed in user profile status updates

Y'all can post Amazon and Newegg links here without problems.

As to your question:

What resolution do you want? What GPU do you have?

I prefer IPS personally, I like the richer colors. IIRC, IPS panels also have better viewing angles than TN. Also, IPS panels usually don't get down to 1ms. For most people, the response time isn't a big problem. I play at 6ms and have no problems with it.

I've heard really good things about the Asus VG248QE: https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VG248QE/

That's a pretty good one too, although I personally would get the PG279Q.

All three of them would be great options. I don't fully know what the 1080's capabilities are at 1440p165 though, so be sure to look up some benchmarks too.

It’s a good monitor but it’s also getting a little old.

It also doesn’t have G-Sync, which is what the OP wanted.

Some of the ASUS PG-series monitors are good. I would recommend the IPS ones if you can afford it, OP.

If you want a 1MS response time then you're going to need to buy a TN panel. Also a TN panel will be about 50-100 dollars cheaper depending on if you want 1080p or 1440p.

Speaking of which, what resolution are you looking for?

I have the PG278QR, it's color fading can be fixed by increasing color saturation through the Nvidia control panel. I have a MG279Q next to it to compare. While it's not the same as IPS color depth, it does make it a lot better.

Tbh though, a GtG 1ms response vs 4ms isn't going to make a gigantic difference.
