No. It's not like Intel is binning chips so staff can have them.

No, their chances of winning the silicon lottery is the same as everyone else that buys their CPU online or in a physical store.

Presumably they get a staff discount, but otherwise it is identical to what you'd normally buy in the shops.

Since they're still under embargo, I would say no. They'll probably be able to get them at a discount on release date, though.

Well certainly someone who works at Intel may have better luck than common folk... that's as much as "certain binning" possible as well for the i7 8700K

I wouldn't post about your friend on public forums since giving the chips away or selling them is technically a violation of the employee discount program and people have gotten into trouble for doing that in the past.
