Can My PC Run 1440p 144hz?

My PC is as follows:

i5 7600k @ 3.8ghz

GTX 1060 6GB

16GB ram

For games such as Fortnite, Rainbow Six, CS:GO, Rocket League, Far Cry 5. Also some light video editing.

If you like high detail then the short answer is no. But that's ok, buy a monitor you can grow into.

what if i usually keep my settings to low - medium. which i do even now.

Big res, high refresh rate, reduced graphics > shit res, low refresh rate, high graphics

 

1060 6GB will be fine.

I can run most games i play, 144hz @ 1080p with med - high settings with a 1060

Sorry but no. It would take at least a 1080 to run 1440p at 144hz and that would be on low settings. It might work for video editing.

1080p 60Hz is PS1-tier.
