Hi, I'm going to be editing 1080p 60fps footage on adobe premier pro. I will also be using adobe illustrator and after effects.

The current specs I have choosen are:

I5 8400 CPU (6 core/6 threads @ 2.8 - 4 GHZ)

EVGA SSC 1050 GPU (2 GB) UPDATE 1050TI

Corsair vengeance LPX 16GB 2400MHz (2x8GB)

Gigabyte B360N motherboard

Crucial MX500 SSD

Segate baracuda HDD

Corsair CX450

Thermaltake core V1(1 200mm fan included)

Will this be able to handle what I said with no problems, and if so, can I save money in some places, thx

Looks good

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

16GB of ram is fine for their use case. OP, I suggest you get a 1060 with the i5, because the 1050 is underpowered and will produce a little bit of a bottleneck. If you don't have money for the 1060, get a 1050ti, but the 1060 should be an upgrade in the future.

hi.

So, I'm going to be editing at 1080p 60fps on Adobe premiere pro and using illustrator/after effects.

The quistion is, I've chosen a 6 core/thread i5 CPU which will cope fine, but there's 3 diffrent variants in terms of clock speeds

8400 2.8 to 4

8500 3 to 4.1

8600 3.1 to 4.3

Will getting the higher clocks speeds actually make a diffrence and will the 8400 for example be just fine, as that's the one I've got in mind

for rendering out you might benefit for the higher speed cores and HT, but for the editing experience I would prioritize the GPU specially for color correction, Mercury Engine makes an awesome job at realtime decoding using CUDA.

Another think to consider is what formats are you going to be using? are you working uncompressed at some point? because 1080p @60fps uses the same or higher bandwidth than 4K 24fps depending on the codec, so you might need a nice NVME to a temporal raid 0 setup with 2 sata ssd's in order to sustain that 900 MB/s ish stream

This is a build I am going to buy, it's a 1050ti @Hashiba

nice, lot's of options then! I would try to get a 1060 6GB, that would be a better match for the 8400 or higher processors.

It would help a lot if you could describe your intended workflow, because it your working with idk 1080P 60fps prores HQ 422, then you obviously don't need the raid 0 I've mentioned before

I have 1050 Ti in one of my systems, let me know if you want me to run some kind of test for you.
