Game Hz drops to second monitor Hz when in borderless windowed mode

When I stream I want to make my game in fullscreen windowed mode to make it easier to Alt-tab. I have a 240hz main monitor and a 60hz secondary.

When I put my game windowed mode, the game will drop to the refresh rate of the secondary montior.

Has anyone had any trouble with this? Any solutions?

Yes, either disable G-Sync or play in true FullScreen mode... not really much you can do about it.

NVIDIA support told me "It is by design" but imo... they are bull**** because from what I found out, it has to do with Windows applying its own V-Sync that cant be disabled on some things and it interferes with G-Sync/Free-Sync.

You can disable V-Sync in Global settings in NV Control Panel but it won't help in many cases.

The issue is that if there is video or some animation running on your 60Hz, Windows tries to sync it across both screens for some reason.
