Not what yiu asked, but this one.

If im not misstaken the UV400 doesnt have a cache.

Its a bit extra but double the storage

I know but it is for my gf, so it doesnt have to be so much better than the 2 above. thnx anyway. so which one would you buy?

Id get the uv400, its cheaper, and you won't notice the difference.

I like that the intel has 5yrs warranty.

id grab a little bit more expencive 250 GB one. not only is it more space, but the cache should help a little with the reads and writes.

if you are using it for OS aswell id grab a 250 GB unless running tightly on a budget. Windows love to eat up space and you want to have the startup apps on the SSD.

there is also a general rule for keeping the SSD healthy and thats keeping about 10%ish headroom of storage. This dramatically increases lifetime due to the limited reads and writes per cell in SSDs.

if you are on a budget and you dont really mind, the UV 400 should work fine. ive got one in my laptop and it has worked fine, even when page-filing websites and apps. its is quick on startup and it takes about 9 Seconds to boot. if you got the cash i think the 250GB is really worth it

What other choices are there? 545s is vastly better but it's also a bit more expensive. UV400 is towards the low end though.

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

None at this price range that worth imo.

Transcend 220s(42,90€)

Mushkin source(49,90€)

Patriot blast(49€)

Corsair le200(52,90€)

220s is about the same tier as the UV400 :/. If you want a drive that's just an SSD then either would probably be ok; however, if you do want something a little better a 545s is vastly superior.
