Yes given that your board supports those capacity sticks (but that's mostly a thing of the pat nowadays).

If your motherboard supports it, then there is no problem upgrading your ram.

 

What is your motherboard? Or alternatively, if you want to upgrade the ram of a laptop, what is your laptop?

If you give us the brand and the series, then we will be able to verify if your system supports it.
