Android phone keeps restarting every time I put it on a table.

I've got a Samsung Galaxy J7 (2015) that is functioning perfectly fine for everything but one issue where the phone itself keeps restarting every time I put it on a table with even a little bit of energy. It restarts in less then 10 seconds and I'm back in just fine. I'm betting heavy on settings and would like to know if something in the operating system itself is causing this or if the more likely issue is a recently downloaded app. Regardless, any help would be appreciated.
