Rename TN&R to simply "Tech News"

Did a quick google search(forum search is always weird for me) to see if this has already been suggested and the only one that came up was from 2013 so, worth a shot.

 

Title say's it all really, rename "tech news and reviews" to "tech news"

The only "review" threads that seem to get posted in there are member reviews which then get moved into the "member reviews" sub forum anyway, and people asking for reviews of items which also seem to get moved/deleted.

As well as the posting guidelines only mentions guidelines for news articles.

 

I feel removing it might help the confusion for people posting their own reviews and/or asking for reviews.

Also since linking to any other sites reviews can be seen as advertising, I don't see point of having "reviews" mentioned in name.

Yeah, it's something we've been considering for a bit, and will probably change in due course.
