Component Upgrade Help

Hello Everyone,

System Specs:

 

CPU: 7700k (not delided)

AIO: Corsair H115i

RAM: 16GB DDR4 2133MHZ

MOBO: Gigabyte Z270N Wifi Mini ITX

PSU: Corsair VS450 450WATT

SSD: Kingston 120GB

HD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM

 

In a different topic i was told that my PSU is not decent enough for Overclocking. I plan on deliding my 7700K in the future.

Please recommend me some decent PSU (not to costly tho) which would be able to handle 5GHZ and a 1080TI.

Also im sure that my motherboard is also not meant for overclocking so what motherboard would be good (again for 5GHZ).

1. Even the best mobo do not guarantee 5GHz.

 

2. Is it ok to be ATX?

Sorry for the late reply. I know that no mobo will guarantee 5GHZ. but i want to know which would be the best. (assuming that my 7700k can do 5ghz). ATX is fine.

Boards like the Maximus 9, z270 gaming M7 can increase the chance of reaching 5ghz, though cheaper ones like the Z270-F or Z270 Extreme4 will do well enough.
