  • I own an Nvidia GPU but g-sync monitors are much more money and freesync will benefit me on my Xbox One S.
  • The Asus is $51 less with price match guarantee.

Dell S2417DG or S2716DG maybe? Both g sync and $350-$500

I bought that AOC Agon for a friend of mine, it's pretty good.
I have the BenQ Zowie XL2730Z which has good colors and viewing angles - for a TN panel. Very bright, I like the height adjustment, swivel and stuff...

I would go with the AOC since it's still cheaper at price match.

If 24" is fine though you could consider this

There's also this 27" Acer one that's cheaper but not available at best buy

Then the AOC is the safe bet. To me, it's as good as the BenQ. It has the exact same specs anyway.
But goddamn, the thing is super heavy, be sure to have a correct desk

@DocSwag Gotta go with 27" in 1440p. Especially since I am taking back a 28" 4k monitor I got 4 days ago. I like 27" in 1440p. As for that Acer, it's $379 now. Click on that Newegg link. Plus I've heard some bad things about it. I'd also like to know why it's been priced so low lately, there has to be a reason for that while similar monitors are priced much higher.

Doesn't bother me even if my desk was made out of cardboard. I'm more worried about this QC thing @orbitalbuzzsaw speaks of. I do remember reading about it in multiple reviews like an hour ago. I don't want to mess with more returning of monitors.

neither of them, this Gsync monitor would be better and it's cheaper:

Yes. My Agon 35 ultrawide came DOA. Other monitors I got from them have had dead inputs etc.

@i_build_nanosuits If you read in that link that monitor is not being sold by Amazon. If you can find one that is sold by Amazon, I will gladly buy it. But you won't find it. That is why I will not be buying from Amazon but I'm willing to price match from Amazon from Bestbuy. Which is where I will be returning this 4k monitor I have. 40 damn miles away. I plan on making just one more trip to Bestbuy. So choosing the exact monitor matters here.

@orbitalbuzzsaw I think I may go with the Asus one. I've been steered in its direction and I've always loved their tablets. Still own an Asus tablet since 2013 that still works to this day. Even after accidently cracking the screen, it still works. Even bought a cloned and older version of it for like $30 from eBay just so I'd have an uncracked Asus Nexus 7.

Go for either the pixio or nixeus 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync displays

They used to be around $399...go for IPS in any event.

@Streetguru I'm gonna need 1 ms response time on the monitor I go with. I will watch that video when I get back home in a couple of hours though. Thanks for the recommendation. As for IPS, I once thought I'd never leave IPS. But I've owned an IPS 1080p monitor for over a year and a half now. After finally laying my eyes on something else, there's not much of a difference except when viewing from extreme angles. I'll be gaming and viewing this monitor from right in front of it.

the response time is going to make absolutely no difference. I'd take the better colors on IPS VS a likely imperceptible response gain any day.

If you're super into response time it may be worth getting a 1080p 240hz display, they're around the same price.

It's sold by Dell via Amazon

At any rate, you could always price match it at Best Buy

@DocSwag You can't price match that monitor at Bestbuy because it has to be both sold and packaged by Amazon. I tried while I was there and they wouldn't do it. I bought the monitor for $599 anyway, lol. The G-sync has already been well worth it.

@DocSwag I just got $100 + tax off of that $599.99 price I paid 10 days ago. As Bestbuy put it on sale today... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-27-led-qhd-gsync-monitor-black/5293502.p?skuId=5293502&ref=199&loc=8BacdVP0GFs&acampID=1&siteID=8BacdVP0GFs-HyhoJY3DMK_kKVcs2NNX9w

You have no idea how happy this makes me feel. I only had 14 days to do this. Every single day since I bought it I have checked the price of the monitor at Bestbuy and low and behold, it pays off.
