You'll get better stuff cheaper...

 

Alienware is quiete a bling factor... but that is a premium extra and usually rises the price over other prebuilds.

what are the specs?

 

Alienware's advantage is that their graphics amplifier is relatively cheap (And only Alienware can use it), so adding in an external graphics card is relatively cheap. Otherwise, it's a premium product and you'll get less than something like the Dell Inspiron 7000 Gaming series

Alienware laptops have excellent build quality and good cooling, however you need to get them from Dell Outlet for good prices.

 

What's your budget? Usage? Requirements?

Unless you want to use the graphics amplifier for alienware the inspiron  G7 series with a 1060 max q would be a better value.

 

I could see some variants of the alienware being very practical if you plan on using the amplifier at home, but other than that they aren't very good for the money. Atleast in my opinion.

like fps games, and streaming. I won't really be playing super hard games. I do want a Nvidia gtx 1060 or 1070 (1070 for gsync) and an 8th gen i7, as well as some sort of RGB display (the computers that I'm deciding between is this one and an MSI GE63 raider rgb-012) I just want a good computer that lasts a long time.

This is a good option, though battery life is poor. Fairly portable.
