Which laptop would be great for college i'll be mostly typing documents in word and watching netflix thats about it i wanna spoil myself a little but not too much since i have my desktop with a i7 6700 and a rx 480. I saw these two asus laptops and the specs for the price are far better than what i paid for my macbook pro 3 years ago. If theres any other laptops you could suggest could you like me some? I just really like the design of the zenbooks so much. Thanks :D

I was looking at this one a while back, I would get this if you're comfortable swapping out the hard drive for an SSD (I would not leave the 5400 rpm drive in there...) and you don't need a backlit keyboard (that was the one thing that turned me off of it).

What do you plan on doing with it? The 14" Asus one looks good as it will last longer with the 16gb of ram. Try looking at a Dell XPS also.

also consider this one https://www.amazon.de/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Notebook-i7-7500U-Windows/dp/B0769PFJ6M/ref=sr_1_19?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1527006943&sr=1-19&keywords=lenovo

lenovo thinkpads in general are good xD

also an other option is a cheap used lenovo thinkpad for 350€ and for home a nice gaming rig

Honestly, I hate both of them xD

Maybe it is just me, but I like something that is going to be well, dependable. I am really fond of the lenovo idea pad that ianspy1 had put up. I am also a big fan of ailenware such as https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/cty/pdp/spd/alienware-15-laptop

I currently do not have the money to afford such a luxury pc, but I do like my toughbook! If you want something affordable and dependable for college, consider buying a lenovo flex https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/flex-series/Flex-5-14/p/88IP8FX0831

Sorry to be a hater, but there are better options for the money. I mean if you are going to be doing hardcore gaming and using graphically intense pieces of software, consider doing some more research, but if you just need something that is going to last, that is good for notes and writing, get something that doesn't have the biggest pricetag.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.

I respectfully disagree. I'd get a gaming laptop for college so I don't have to deal with moving my desktop and monitor.

In a way, but I do always like having something faster, and like I said, really all he needs is a lenovo flex or a computer of the same specs
