Anyone know Intenso SSDs? Are they any good?

Gdourado

Hello,

Saw a great price for an intenso top m.2 Sata 512gb ssd.

Thinking about it since for just a gaming machine, Sata should be plenty and nvme just overkill.

But I don't really know these Intenso SSDs.

Are they any good?

Cheers

Looks like it's a German company. They're probably fine. The ones you have to be careful with are the cheap Chinese models or cheaper Kingston ones.

Here is a list of manufacturers, and their point of origin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_solid-state_drive_manufacturers

Just because the company is German (which would generally indicate quality) there is no guarantee the drives are actually made there....

In all honesty, if you want to put data on it, either have a real good backup plan, or be prepared for unknown lifespan and quality.
