I don't think that laptop has a thunderbolt 3 port so you can't use an external GPU with it.

none really

the i5 560m is a bit slower than an 11 year old q6600 from back in the day. I'd almost recommend dumpster diving for a faster platform to build off of.

I can't imagine spending 60$ then more money for a gpu to run in tandom with a cpu that slow. if your budget was 100$ you could almost buy an entire machine that's faster.

60 canadian isnt much really

id get like a GTX 660 i guess? thats about the performance of an RX560 and can be found cheap. playes games pretty decently paired with my Q6600 back when the LAN PC was in a cardboard box

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Hi i have a dell latitude e6410. It currently has a core i5 560m.I am wanting to use one of those external gpus for my laptop because i cannot afford a full gaming desktop. I was wondering what gpu i should use and if it would bottle neck or not. thanks

i don't recommend spending any money to upgrade that laptop, it is too damn ancient, you're betting off spending money on something new, anything you buy to upgrade it will be a waste.

the laptop is 8 years old and you wanna spend 125$ on it??? jesus christ
