MDG Desktop NO BOOT PAST BIOS - Expired Key Error Please Call...

CaseySean01

Just picked up an old used MDG desktop computer to mess around with, and it appears that the system has been locked with this error:

Platform ID: ....
Expired Key Error: Please call ... for replacement.
Enter New Key:

I had to reset the CMOS to clear the BIOS password, but there seems to be now way to boot past this screen. I found another thread from a person with this issue from 2012, and they said the solved it without explanation. Specifications are as follows:

Intel 945GTP Motherboard
Intel Pentium D 2.8GHZ
2GB DDR2-533MHZ RAM
250 GB SATA HDD
18X DVD-R-RW

Support is closed for the weekend and quite frankly I don't feel like dealing with them over this issue, so I'm hoping to get some help here. Thank you everyone for any help you may provide.

The bios password is not cleared when you reset CMOS. That's the point - it's designed to prevent such basic countermeasure, since someone who has access to bios has physical access to the system.

Ok, I understand. I do have access to the BIOS, but after exiting the BIOS I am confronted with this "enter new key" screen. Is there something I can do about this in BIOS settings?
