CSGO Not acknowledging drivers for a GTX 1050

This has been going on since i bought the Dell Inspiron 15 5577, i play CSGO more than anything yet for some reason anytime i go to launch the game it defaults to Intel HD Graphics when it should be using the GTX 1050.

If i reinstall my driver the game will load properly once, after that it just keeps defaulting back to Intel HD. This doesn't happen with any other game (besides Minecraft but i'm not too worried about that)

Any suggestions?

can't do this as the igpu is connected to the display and needs to be running for any output on the display.

Nothing about the integrated graphics in bios. It's extremely basic.

does the bios have a video card priority setting? This could also be a driver issue so I recommend running DDU and reinstalling newest drivers.

Both the BIOS and Nvidia Control Panel are extremely limited.5b00a5892b612_NVIDIA.PNG.7acbaac1383a43c89086dfa1a6903918.PNG

Nope, can't get higher than 35 fps... Anytime the card works I get close to 130.

This could also be the result of just a slow HDD, the stock 1TB Seagate HDD is pretty bad.

Final Update (Driver was taking its sweet time to install so i got bored and started doing other stuff) Driver re-installs don't work (it's the 3rd time i've done that) in-game settings don't fix anything. i'm just going to give up and blame it on my HDD. thanks for everyone's help.
