Jump to content

Corrupt only means the data on it is bad. You can format it and it'll be as good as new.

 

Now if data continues to become corrupted despite normal use, it's likely the drive is dying.

What I'd do:

1. Check smart status of drive with something like CrystalDiskInfo and if good...

2. Use CCleaner>Tools>Drive Wiper>Entire Drive, Simple Overwrite (make sure it's the correct drive)

so first i like to say thank you for the help. I should have said this before (sorry)  but i can not boot in to windows at all. when i first hit the power button it will BSOD for a short time and then reboot and try to do the automatic repair.  i have let it go for a day and a half but zero change and i have no error message not even from the blue screen
