34-35" Monitor - which is the better option?

Hi ya'll!

 

Getting a new monitor and I am torn between these:

 

1. Benq EX3501R

2. Samsung LC34 °F 791

3. ASUS MX34VQ Designo Curved 34-inch UWQHD

4. ASUS ROG Strix Curved XG35VQ,

 

It has to have these things:

 

34-35" or more

3440x1440

Freesync

 

Somehow I lean towards the Benq but that's what you are here for - give me you opinion and if you think there is a better alternative to these let me know! :)

just going to mention you should probably try a curved panel before you buy one, if you are like me you wont be able to use it. i get pretty sick after just a minute of watching a curved panel, most people are fine but still id suggest you go somewhere that has one before buying something you potentially cant use if you have the chance

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Yeah somethings wrong with you. Are you sitting too close or something? 

 

OP I personally have the MX34VQ and it's a great monitor. It replaced my PG279Q and it's great. The wireless charging in the base is an awesome feature and the only negative is at night you can sometimes see a bit of ghosting

Just keeping this here as a nah, i have tried a lot of things, bigger and less curved helps but thats about it. flat panels are fine, vr is fine, curved panels are a no go. not sure why but i just stay away from them and im good

The few reviews the BenQ has are very flattering so it's something to consider athough since it is an 8 bit monitor it does not provide the full HDR experience despite what the marketing text says.

 

I'd avoid Samsung because despite looking the best of them all (preference obviously but the classy white and more aggresive curve are bonuses for me), I've read about some potential problems with extremely narrow Freesync range, flickering problems and high input lag. Quantum Dot will make the colors more vibrant though.

 

In the end I'd choose between the BenQ and one of the Asus ones. Keep in mind that the MX34VQ has very limited adjustment features and no VESA mount (if this is the thing that interests you). 

 

There is really no bad choice between those three, you might as well let the price decide if it's a factor.

Yeah, so I know that BenQ is 8 bit but the HDR gimmick is not why I'm interested in it. It has really excellent reviews, all kind's of inputs and at least here (amazon.co.uk) the cheapest price of them all. Yeah, the Samsung has good reviews but feedback in general from non review sites is quite mixed - especially in the gaming department.
