Safety cover for case buttons?

Hey there!

I am sick of accidentally hitting the restart/power button on my PC case. Any advice on how to make a safety cover for them? I'd appreciate any help. :)

Just put a bottle cap or a tin/jar lid or something over them?

How do you accidentally keep hitting them anyway? what're you doing to be going near them lol.

Go into Windows setting and disable them ;) that way, you can only use the Windows Button and Restart, Shutdown from your monitor using the mouse :)

It would depend on how your case is put together and how nice you want it. I would go with a flap if the buttons don't stick out. The simplest solution would be a piece of cardboard taped to the case, a nicer one would be a piece of plastic or metal with a little hinge. I wouldn't worry too much about it, especially if the buttons aren't right next to your hands :) .

Had a friend with a similar situation.  He took the twist cap from a soda bottle, spray painted it black (to match the case) then put a dab of hot glue on it to stick to the front of the button.  It looks nice and clean and does not detract from the case.  Good luck.

Sorry for replying so late. I honestly forgot I've written this post. :(

I was using a piece of plexiglass taped with an electrical tape to the case, but I'll try disabling the buttons within the Windows settings. Thanks guys for your tips. :)
