You should look more into upgrading that excuse of a GPU that you have :/. Spend that $200 on a different GPU. Perhaps a used 960 or 970 to avoid price inflation would do聽

2021 Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition

Secondary Laptop (Uni MK2): Ryzen 7 5800HS, Nvidia GTX 1650, Radeon Vega 8 Mobile, 16 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz, 512 GB SSD聽

2021 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14聽

Meme Machine (Uni MK1): Shintel Core i5 7200U, Nvidia GT 940MX, 24 GB DDR4 2133 Mhz, 256 GB SSD+500GB HDD, 15.6 in TN Display聽

2016 Acer Aspire E5 575聽

Retired Laptop (Gearsy MK2): Ryzen 5 2500U, Radeon Vega 8 Mobile, 12聽GB 2400 Mhz DDR4, 256 GB NVME SSD, 15.6" 1080p IPS Touchscreen聽

2017 HP Envy X360 15z (Ryzen)

PC (Gearsy): A6 3650, HD 6530D聽, 8 GB 1600 Mhz Kingston DDR3, Some Random Mobo Lol, EVGA 450W BT PSU, Stock Cooler, 128 GB Kingston SSD, 1 TB WD Blue 7200 RPM

HP P7 1234 (Yes It's聽Actually Called That) RIP聽

So you have a motherboard as well? Honestly I would upgrade your gpu and get a 6th or 7th gen Intel cpu down the line if you already have the motherboard as you'll save money on not having to buy one.聽

The 1050 isn't a bad gpu but it isn't great either. It's priced fairly decent and you should be able to play games at 1080p with some settings tweaked. I think it's a fairly balanced gpu for your current cpu.聽

Although if you have 200 I would spend the extra money for the 1050ti. It's a pretty good bump in performance for not that big of a price increase.聽

Depends on the game tbh. There's alot of games where the combo is actually quite good and can play at 1080p worh fairly decent settings. Some games are heavy on the cpu and would require some settings tweaked to conpensate. Is it the best gaming pc out there? No not really but it's going to be able to play games with come compromises. I used to game with a gtx 960 which is basically the same performance as this card and it served me quite well. It's surprising how much turning down some settings doesn't make the game look all that much worse.聽

not everything online is a scam, just be careful about which seller you pick and you'll be fine.
