was either that upgrade or give a rest to my dual rx 580

What do you mean "give a rest". GPU lifespan is quite long........

Also crossfire is falling out of favor, same with SLI. If you NEED to do GPU upgrade. Out of the two you grab a Vega 56. Even so it doesnt seem like you have to

I agree. Is there a reason that you want to upgrade? Like lackluster performance?

there were a couple of times i was playing and the heat went up a bit and i used to mine them a month each card one at a time.

If you already got dual RX580, I think there's no need to upgrade anything at all.

considering that you have a crossfire setup it isn't that unheard of. what game was this in?

I think youll be suprised at how little un-overclocked mining tears the GPU. There isnt much risk of buying mining GPUs at all. You will be fine using your GPUs as is for at least 5 more years before you even have to think about them dying on you. (Prividing that you dont upgrade as at that point the performance in the newest titles wouldnt be great)

You are much better off just saving the money and waiting for GPU inflation to drop among the AMD cards(if you only want AMD). Wait and see what Navi offers and or do a different upgrade (storage, RAM, CPU, cooler, etc)

im already gearing up for a cpu upgrade from r3 1200 to r5 2600 or 2600x then add a deep cool captain 240x aio for the cpu and increasing my ram from 16 to 32.

as for fans right now i just need to redo positioning because i got 8 fans 120 on my evga dg 85

I don't think that would be completely unreasonable, as corssfire does make a setup a decent amount hotter than versus having one gpu...

hmm okay im using a gigabyte b350 gaming 3 mobo so the clearance between the cards arent much but its like .8 of a dim slot

that is part of the reason (not entirely) that crossfire and sli are loosing favor. the heat output is just unbelievably high.

I would reccomend a cpu upgrade, don't mess with the ram (unless you plan on doing video editing or for some reason you manage to use up 16 through normal use)

well i was going to buy dual dium ram sticks because the ram sticks im currently using arent the same frequency and are solo sticks. like i cant use dual channel mode.
