I recommended the Corsair CXM 450W PSU. I have this PSU myself and have had a great time with it. It's semi-modular too which for its price is very nice. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FQ648d/corsair-power-supply-cp9020101na

Thanks!

Just a note on the CX450M. I would recommend it as well, but it's currently out of stock at that price, so I recommended the CX450 instead. If you don't mind waiting for it to come back in stock, go for the CX450M.

It's impossible to recommend a PSU without knowing what it's supposed to be powering. Sure, a CX450 may be compatible, but what if it's not?

From what I remember, the CX is a range to avoid, stretch to the CXM

No, that's not true. The non-modular CX even uses a slightly more modern internal layout than the modular models.

I agree with @OrionFOTL. First list the parts you will use

Only if its a 2017+ model, hard to know that until it arrives

It can only be the "2017" model, because there weren't any other versions of CX450/CX550/CX650.

If it's a *2015* or newer model it's a very good unit. 2015 for the modular and 2017 for the non-modular.

There definitely was as my wifes old PC had a 450w in that I built around 6 years ago (maybe less, had a 4670k in it) and my daughters has one in it that I built 2016

Other options are the Masterwatt 550W for $32 after rebate, or the TX550M for $45 after rebate. Try to get the latter one. A good PSU will last you for several builds.

Definitely not 450W. Probably the 430W one.
