Which RAM should I go with?

2x4GB for sure, Dual Channel is much faster than Single Channel, even if one 8gb is 4000mhz, dual channel 2400mhz will still be faster. 

you can go with 1x8gb and upgrade to 16gb later though

I'm building a Mini ITX in the Node 202 (most likely).

Trying to save costs anywhere I can so only going with 8GB RAM, only gaming so shouldn't need any more.

Not too bothered about being able to upgrade in future so 1 stick or 2 doesn't bother me either.

 

But should I go with this G Skill (2x4GB) which has a lower CAS https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/cLkwrH/gskill-memory-f42400c15d8grr

Or this single 8GB stick from Crucial https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/N3yxFT/crucial-8gb-1-x-8gb-ddr4-2400-memory-ct8g4dfd824a

I'm considering the Crucial as it has not headspreader and therefore should be easier to deal with in an ITX build.

 

Please let me know your opinions or if you have a better suggestion, I'm all ears.

Ah I did think about that but wasn't sure how much of a difference it would be. Thank you :)

Make sure to OC the RAM if your Motherboard supports (Memory Try It, is on my MSI and it auto clocks mine up to 3000, and I get extra 12gb/s bandwith and lower latency by 20ms from 2400)

I must admit I've never considered overclocking RAM but I'm definitely looking into Memory Try It :D thanks for the tip
