100 hertz or ips

I am torn between the Acer xr341ck and the acer ed7. The xr has a 75 hertz refresh rate and a ips panel but the ed7 has a VA panel and a 100 hertz refresh rate. Otherwise they are the same. I want the color accuracy of ips but watching movies and YouTube would be more enjoyable with a smoother 100 hertz monitor. Which one do  you think I should buy? FYI I have 1060.

VA panels are prone to smearing and overshoot. They are far inferior to IPS unless you couldn't care less and just want the speed, which they do handily beat IPS on.

I'd go IPS.

 

You won't get any benefit when watching YouTube or movies with a 100Hz monitor (unless the video is >60fps, which I don't think YouTube even supports)

Youtube has no support for >60hz video. I am also not aware of any recording utilities that can record at >60 FPS either... that kind of recording would be massively heavy on CPU usage.

IPS.  High refresh rate is primarily useful in games, not watching videos because of preapplied motion blur and lack of sources. Besides, 100Hz isnt all that quick either.
