EZ Debug CPU light has come on

So, no $#&t there I was, in the middle of a game of Rainbow Six Siege, and all the sudden my PC crashes. I had a momentary freak out, then calmed down, grabbed my handy Motherboard owner's manual and looked how to diagnose and possibly fix the problem. Discover my CPU EZ Debug light has come on but my RAM seems to be working fine. All the other LEDs for the ez Debug are off. I think the problem may be a power issue problem, although everything else seems to be working just fine.

None of the periphrials plugged in want to work, and one of the fans in my case refuses to move, however the rgb lights seem to work no problem. The RAM rgbs are still working. The fans on the GPU are still spinning. And the fan in the CPU is still spinning.

Someone please help, I'm trying to stay calm but I'm just freaking out on the inside right now.

What debug light is on?

also , the machine having power and some fans spinning only means the machine has electricity in it , not that it's working correctly.

I'd try your very best not to freak out, and try re-seating your CPU. Pins can be finicky sometimes.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

also try a bios reset and check the cpu temp , might as well just reseat everything while you're in there

I'll give an update tomorrow, I'm just tired as hell and don't want to touch it right now. Hopefully I won't have to RMA anything

UPDATE: I'm an idiot, I never properly seated the CPU power cable, and I screwed up by connecting my case fan to the CPU fan slot. So yeah thanks for all the help! I learned a lot and I hope people check cables instead of wasting people's time!
