Hello, I recently upgraded to a 1070 strix...but kept my i5 6500. Im able to run on ultra and 200% screen scale but my cpu stays at 100% usage even when capped to 60fps. Do you guys no any way around the overusage? If not would a better cpu be viable?

better CPU for sure. Try turning the screen scaling back as well. See if that helps. BF1 is known as a CPU eater due to a bug I believe that has long been in the game since launch.

I didn't hear about it being a bug, just that BF1 eats up your CPU.

OP: Get an i7-6700 or flash your BIOS and get a 7700.

Ok thanks guys... Sounds like bf1 is just a culprit to bad cpu usage

Bf1 uses alot of cpu because it has alot of things that require the cpu to do work. Like in a 64 player match it has to keep track of all the players and what they do with particles. I mean the game is fairly well optimized but it also is demanding on the cpu.
