Here's how to allow your Monitor to use DP (NVIDIA)

DrThots

I was struggling with allowing my AOC monitor to connect to DP so I can get 75hz+.

Firstly you go to Nvidia Control Panel (Right click on desktop and it should pop up as one of the options) and click Manage 3D Settings.

Underneath Global Settings, scroll down until you find Set Power management mode to Prefer Maximum Performance.

It seems that cards will disable the display port if they are in an energy saving state. Forcing it to max performance circumvents this little issue.

The person who found this out was sirstancake. I do not take any credit, just here to spread it out to help people.
