You mean you have a USB hub connected to your single 3.0 port? You won't wear it out. Sometimes a USB 3.0 hub is needed to expand your 3.0 connectivity options when 2.0 just won't do. But yes, use other USB ports to connect devices like this. Use the faster port for speed.

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...

wearing out the USB ports? i guess if you are plugging your periferals in and out a lot the port will eventiually get a little looser but i havent had a USB port fail from using it and there is no problem using an adapter to run two devices on one port

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

How much current will those 3 components draw together? What is USB3 rated at. I would definitely compare those.

Well im almost anti laptop, i acknowledge their use for meeting with clients and light on the go workloads. But thats it.
