If I try to play minecraft on my Ryzen 3 2200g APU, the screen randomly goes black and I have to restart my PC. Any suggestions on what to do?

Run MEMTEST and check if the memory is OK.

The thing with Ryzen APU's is that more than ever they are limited by your RAM memory bandwith. Because you are using only one 8GB stick, you are limited to only half the ram bandwith you could get, when using two 4GB sticks in dual channel. This halves your performance in graphical intensive tasks, and causes dips in performance.

This explains the dips, but not the black screen.

I updated the drivers and I'm no longer having the black screens, also would it work if I put an identical 8GB stick? (dual channel that is)
