raid card recomendations

i need recommendations for a raid card. i was originally going to get MEGARAID SAS 9341-8I but @leadeatersaid

The flash cache/BBU is required for write-back cache to be active which is also required for decent RAID 5/6 performance. Without active write-back cache you'll only get around 60-120 MB/s write performance to the array no matter how many HDDs you have.

Edit:

I can confirm the 9341 has no onboard cache at all, I wouldn't use it for RAID 5 or 6.

it has to have 8 ports and support raid 5. around 300ish euros

i shop from amazon.de

Storage spaces is god awful slow, and tiering has to be setup manually on Win10.  Where as server 2012/2016 is can be setup in the GUI.  You also have to have two SSD's for Tiering.  A cheap raid card lsi 9260-4i (30-40 usd on ebay) is decent and usable without SSD tiering.

Win 10 has gui, and even with with Windows server it had to be setup manually... what's your point with this statement?

if you going to spend 300 just for controller, use ssd for writeback instead, it will be far more effective than regular hdd even with fastest controller available.

My point is setting up Tiering with SSD's in Windows 10 can not be done through the GUI, and not only that you have to buy two ssd's which even at the cheapest your looking at 40-50 per (80-100$) instead of buying a 50-70$ used raid card without having to use SSD's for tiering.

Then use software raid, no need for a raid card then.
