It depends on how important it is to minimize downtime, how tech-savy the company is, and whether or not they have good on-site tech support for when anything goes wrong.

If that isn't a factor, it would come down to whichever systems do the job better or cheaper.

So I know the answer to this question for PC gaming but I have to write a white paper identifying the solution to buying expensive pre-built computers for a company (this is just for a school paper). Here is a description of a white paper for an internal audience.

a white paper to an internal audience – written to individuals within an organization you work for or are a part of. The white paper might inform them about a trend in the field and/or to solve a problem in the organization.

Would you guys say it is wise to build a PC that fits the company's needs or just buy a pre-built and call it a day?

It depends on the company's needs. The tech support from buying prebuilts can be very convenient.

Moved to Pre-built Systems.
