I'm running AC Origins on my laptop with the gt940mx. It's barely able to hold up. I've dropped everything down, changed the pixel density. Any more tips to increase FPS?

Origins runs multiple DRMs, way too heavy on the CPU to run on an older laptop. Sorry.

The CPU won't be the primary issue here, but your GPU. It just isn't going to be enough.

The NUC beats a 6700k/1050ti combo, until you hit AC Origins. There NUC loses, thanks to the CPU. In AC Origins the CPU is a very important factor in performance.

You said the CPU wasn't the primary issue, in 99% of games you'd be right. AC Origins is an outlier.

In this case, I suspect the GPU is the primary issue, given its weakness. You're welcome to disagree.
