Hi Guys! I have recently bought a Radeon HD 6670 because my previous graphic card was terrible. However there is still something wrong I think I just missed something like with compatibility of my PC or something. I can now run games that I could not before but I get lags in them. I also get lags now in the games I used to be able to run perfectly fine before. I did update my drivers.  My computer specs are here : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c02613424#N90

i did not change anything else  just the graphic card. I have no idea what is wrong so I would be grateful if anyone could enlighten me. Thanks in advance :) .

i used to have this piece of turd, you need to buy a new power supply to fix your problems

and make sure your using PCI-e as your gpu in BIOS

The CX is the cheaper corsair but will be fine for like a 7870/r9 270/gtx 760 or so.

Buy it there. 39 with a rebate. :)

For 10 bucks more, this one will run a gtx 770 or so. The older cx 600 sucked, this one isn't bad with 46 on the 12v.

That one would be more then enough if you never planned on using more then that GPU (and could support something a little more powerful) is only 29.99 and Antec is as good as the CX series

The card you have isn't that power hungry. The power supplies in pre built name brands like Dell are just awful.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. Case: HAF 912 stock fans (no LED crap). HD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB. Display: Dell S2340M IPS. GPU: Sapphire Tri-x R9 290. PSU:CX600M OS: Win 7 64 bit/Mac OS X Mavericks, dual boot Hackintosh.

I ended up buying a coolermaster 500W which was the only high power supply in store. It is better now but things are still not running smoothly.

It's not the power supply I'm sorry to say, it's simply that the card is not powerful enough, sell it and get something more powerful.

7750<7770<650 Ti<R7 260X<650 Ti boost<7850<R9 270

Best performing right, to least performing left.

This will give you a general idea about performance.

NOTE : R7 270 = 7870, R7 260X ~ 5870, 650 Ti boost ~ 560 Ti.

I know that this card is not a piece of art but some really old games lag like The witcher, or dragon age. Every game I got lags I checked for the minimum requirements and I was always above that.So it can't be that the card is too bad to run them

Dont max them then. I just sold that card on ebay, dont expect it to game very well. It kinda sucks.
