If you use proper grammar on this forum you will garner many more responses. With that said, VRAM is *far* from the only factor affecting performance. If you want a real answer:

What games are you playing?

At what resolution?

Just generally give us more information.

it's time

VRAM itself will not increase FPS. 8GB VRAM (over 4GB VRAM) is something a user will buy if they want max settings at 1440p, potentially on ultra wides and up to 4K, if a 4GB VRAM card was used on these resolutions it may stutter, therefore more VRAM is needed but only then is more VRAM needed or required.

What monitor are you currently using or want to use when you have a new GPU?

What is your current GPU?

What games are you trying to play?

If you are using a 1080p monitor with a 4GB VRAM card then you will most likely be fine for many more years to come, but if you bought an 8GB VRAM card for 1080p then you'd see no benefit tbh.

yea i know sorry about that :/ i am slightly tired haha my main games are: the witcher 3, battlefield 1, darwin project, destiny 2, far cry 5,  honestly a huge variety of games but most of them if i try to get a little higher to make my game look better it'll stutter not hitting my 60 fps mark i like (especially far cry 5) i just always see "vram usage" in the settings and thats why im looking at VRAM i want to boost my resolution up to what i can (something more than 1080p)

i am using a 1080p 60 hz monitor but i want to boost it up to what i can ( i do want to boost my graphics settings) i dont necessarily need an fps boost (except for far cry 5) i want to just have my games look better since i always hear people saying how beautiful higher resolution and graphics are and like ive said ive stuck with 720p to 1080p ever since ive been gaming on pc im not sure what monitor i would want i would just know what i would be good with ( i definitely want a boost in resolution)

If you are just using 1080p then 8GB VRAM is not needed. I could recommend and 6GB GTX 1060 for far cry 5 at 1080p but considering any card that has 8GB VRAM is well above your current budget then I don't think you should move to a higher resolution for now, especially not on your current budget.

If you're buying a 1440p monitor and plan to use high to max settings, then 8gb might be worth it. Otherwise, no.

I would not suggest any AMD card at the moment because the prices are still too high, you would be better off (and get more performance) from using NVidia cards at the same price point.

You could potentially get a GTX 1070 or Ti brand new on that budget but you'd be lucky, seriously, I would not recommend AMD atm until prices go down a lot.

The GeForce GTX 1070Ti is just about the best you can get in your price range.

When you take into account that the fact the 1070Ti, when overclocked a bit, is essentially 1080 performance, it's more or less a no-brainer. Found some graphs showing differences between the 580 and 1080(no 1070Ti graphs for some reason):

You'll have to manually overclock, but utilities like MSI Afterburner or EVGA PrecisionX make it really easy.

Practically any GPU overclocking guide will tell you how to do it, it's in some ways more simple than CPU overclocking.

You should be fine at 1440p, but I'm not fully aware of the 1070Ti's ability to reach 144Hz at 1440p high/max settings.

You'll definitely be able to hit 60fps.
