Are you using on board graphics, meaning from the motherboard, or from a video card?

video card

Do you have the option to run the graphics from the motherboard?  If you do... and assuming it does post where you could see everything, download the latest driver for the video card.  Then install it and re-seat the card.  If you do not have on-board graphics or you are unable to install the driver with the card not detected, just simply try re-seating the card.  Also try a different PCI-Express slot. :)

Try removing the GPU then plugging it into the output on your motherboard if you have the option because sometimes the motherboard will disable the GPU unless explicitly enabled in the BIOS. If that works, go into your BIOS and look for a setting like "disable iGPU", and turn it on if it exists. Then try replacing your GPU and rebooting. Also, do you have any option to use any other cable type, just in case it's a problem with the HDMI cable/ports/drivers (don't go any buy anything just to check).
