Is 1080p in a 35inch monitor enough?

Go to solution Solved by Yo Whats Up,

HELL NO, 35 inch is waaaayyy too big for anything that's not watching movies, especially competitive games (like pubg) where you must be able to see everything on the screen at once (there's a reason some pros play on 1600X900 windowed, even on smaller monitors, cuz it lets them see the entire game screen)

It doesn't matter if it's 4K 8K 256K... 35 inch is just too big. But since it's 1080p, it makes it even worse, as if it could be any worse

If you want to play competitive games especially shooters, a TN monitor is the one for you. My eyes are 40-45 cm away from the screen when I'm playing, and even with a 23 inch monitor I still can't see the entire screen at once, if you're looking at the bottom left side for example, you won't be seeing anything on the top right side and you'll be missing a bit from the top left and bottom right side, for me I can see the majority of the screen but only cuz the monitor is 23 inches and I'm still missing a bit of area, I still can't see the entire screen at once (looking at it is different than seeing. You'll be looking at a lot more than just your monitor, you'll be looking at anything next to your monitor - desk, window, wall etc. However, whether you can actually RESPOND to something happening on the edge of your sight, is a completely different matter. Hint: you can't) The bigger your monitor is, the more prominent this issue becomes. Especially on a curved monitor (but not only) which is 21:9, when you're looking at the leftmost side, you won't be seeing anything from a good portion of the right side, since the monitor is very long horizontally. For me, between 23 and 25 inches is good, anything bigger than that is too big, anything smaller than that is too small (for when not playing competitive games). Also, what is your gpu and cpu? Can you even handle 144hz?

So I have been looking for a monitor. Requirement was 144hz. I didn't wanted g sync because of the extra money I have to pay. I was thinking about this one.

but is 1080p enough for 35 inch for gaming. I play pubg and some story games. My previous choice was dell gaming s2716 dgr but it turned out to be way too overpriced here in India (Around 750$). Thanks.

There will be distortion.  However, if you do want 144 Hz, then performance would probably matter more than resolution.

Looks like it's 21:9 so it's basically a 28" 16:9 monitor but wider. IMO 1080p is too small for that size, but it isn't too bad if you only game on it.

2560x1080p resolution is perfect on 29inch ultrawides, 34 or 35 in this case you'll get quite the several pixelation.

Although for the most part I agree with your post I disagree with the 23 inch monitor thing. I have a 23.8 & a 25 inch monitor. Both I can see the whole screen just fine while gaming, it just depends how you position it.
