Can i use a old Pentium cpu to update Bios of MSI A320 DDR4 ATX Motherboard

I want to use amd ryzen 5 2400g with rx vega 11 graphics onMSI A320 DDR4 ATX Motherboard but for that i need to upgrade bios so for that can i use  Pentium cpu with this motherboard

No, because the socket isnt compatible at all. A bit like losing the keys to unlock the door, and trying to use your finger instead.

For starters you'll have to figure out how to get the Pentium to grow pins out the bottom so you can even make contact with the pads in the socket.

True, I guess I was thinking a bit less than Pentium 4 old but the point is valid :)

You can't use a Pentium in an AM4 socket motherboard, but that doesn't matter anyway. All boards shipped to retailers as of January already have the BIOS update, and if they don't AMD will send you a free CPU to update your BIOS. It's called a Bootkit. Look into it if you're interested.

PSU - EVGA 450BT

Though the motherboards sold by retailers now are still produced last year....

Not necessarily, plus I have a second option you conveniently left out of your quote in case the one he gets does still need a BIOS update. My friend purchased his motherboard  almost a month ago and it din't need a BIOS update to work with his Ryzen APU.

If it is the case then there wont be 'Why wont my Ryzen 2000 chip work with a B350 mobo?' posts popping up here and there every day.
