Hi :) i was planning to buy an addressable rgb strip with my asus motherboard. but i quickly found out that it requires 5v headers. but my motherboard has 2x 12v R G B headers.

then i found this (see the picture) i didnt really understand all of it. can i do  it??? thanks:) simage.thumb.png.f0b87dc815d9751b0fb9b1651332fbac.pngo the question is can i do that?

Since your board only has regular 12V (4pin)  RGB headers you won't be able to use addressable LED's.
