I imagine they're attracted to light as well as warm places like most insects, so a PC pushing out warm air and the glowing monitor would be an attractive place.

Unfortunately insects are going to do what insects do. Best way to stop it would be stopping them from getting inside at all. Check your fly screens and repairing any holes and/or covering any places that insects could get in that aren't already covered, and keeping windows/doors shut when there are lots of bugs around.
There are some cheap clip on fly screens that go over door ways that may help you out if you don't have fly screen doors already installed.

There would be quite a few pesticides that would simply kill them, but not necessarily repel them. It would be more of a case of still finding the beetles but they'll just be dead by the time you find them.
Could be the vents if you have vents in your house leading outside? You can get fly screen mesh by the meter at most hardware stores for only a few dollars per meter and then just cut it down to whatever size you need. Try covering the outside of the vents with mesh if you think that could be how they're getting in. In most situations a physical barrier is going to be better than a chemical (pesticides) one.

Well, in Aus it's just called "Fly screen" or "Insect Screen", though it may be called "Screen wire" or "Screen Mesh" in the US.
It's literally just the black mesh that goes over your windows so you can open your windows

There's a couple of different types. Metal (aluminium) and plastic/fibreglass. The metal is a bit trickier to work with, but lasts longer. The plastic is much easier to work with and often a lot cheaper, but won't be as durable as the metal.
Just pop in to your nearby hardware store and ask for some insect mesh and say you want to put it over some vents to stop insects getting in and I'm sure that they will be able to help you out.

My house gets invaded by these things.  It's terrible.   I just grab the vacuum and say goodbye.  They usually stink in the vacuum so it does smell a little bit.   Get a can of air freshener while you vacuum?

I saw this kind of bugs on our house as well. I think one of them bit me in my arm and it's really itchy. In just few hours my arms become swollen. I'm not really sure if that's stinky bug but they look the same on what I saw in google. My PC set up is safe though, I only saw the bugs on our bedroom. Maybe it sneak in while we are sleeping.
