I am planning to build new workstation. But I don't have money to buy i7-8700K, quadro P4000, 16GB of ram and 512GB SSD. My dad said max is 800$. I want best price per performance workstation. Program I gonna use is Vegas Pro, Soildwork.

If you're thinking of building a workstation I would suggest that you go with AMD Ryzen as it has more cores than the Intel chips :)

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

You'd be looking at this for the best performance within budget. Please note I didn't select a Geforce card because Solidworks has certification for Quadro cards and I know from experience that the P600 will easily outperform much faster GTX cards in Solidworks. A P1000 would've been nice, but you'd have to step down to a quad core and 8GB RAM or no SSD (which is painful).

why use 1600 , when 2600 is out.

1tb hdd isn't worth it.

depends on the app hes using, but that $170 video card was probably even unusable in 2010
