Clone HDD?

I'm swapping my old HDD with a new one ( it's old and don't trust it anymore ).

 

Is it possible to just copy everything from one HDD to another? Or do I need some sort of software?

Id suggest getting an ssd, there much faster.

 

There are programs to clone like macrum reflect or acronis true image.

you need a bootable cd or usb stick with clonezilla

Macrium Reflect Free uses a simple, easy to understand, reliable, one step cloning process. There is no need to make a bootable stick or live CD just to do a direct clone.

There are some free third party software can clone your original HDD to another disk, such as minitool.

Most HDD manufacturers have their own limited, free version of a popular software for this called Acronis True Image, you could always purchase the full version of that for full features, but our version is called DiscWizard.
