RX 480 Crashing issue.

DarkScott

Hello.

I have factory new rx 480 8gb running on stock speeds. I own it like 3 months if I am not mistaken.

The problem is that when ever I am trying to play any game, like Rust, Fortnite, PUBG, really any type of game, It runs a game like it should but after like a minute or when there is gpu load then it crashes display driver ( The screen goes black for a few seconds, and then a game crashes ).

I have tried installing new amd recommended software, I have tried running it on the old software, I have reinstalled windows completly fresh new, I ran it on my friends PC, but it still freaking crashes.I don't know what tha hell is wrong with this card, but its really freaking annoying. I have 750W PSU silver, so I think that should be more then enough to run it. My friend even has like a 850W I think, but it just doesen't work like it supposed.

It is running on stock speed. no overcloking was done.

On idle around 60°C - 65°C, on load it can get up to 90-92 °C

those are both extremely high temps. they should idle in the mid/high 30's or low 40's max and game at 75c max. I'd RMA it.

That seems very high. You should increase the fan speed on the GPU, or make sure there's better airflow in the case around the card.
