Build for friend, need help picking GPU!

So my friend is wanted a new PC, and I said I will build it for him, he is building it around June, and he needs WIFI, he will be playing games like PUBG, CSGO and more. I want to sell him my GTX 1070 but was wondering if any new cards were going to be released before that (Navi, Volta) because I really don’t want to but older cards when newer ones will come out a few months after I sell my current one.

 

here is the build I have so far, I will be giving him some extra 120mm fans (Budget $1700USD)

I mean if you want and can I would totally try selling the 1070 to him and just save up patiently for a shining new GTX 2080 and have that TITAN Xp performance for pretty cheaper.

I expect the next gen Nvidia card to come to a good price at the end of the year. future AMD and Intel GPUs wont come for at least another year.

 

So the problem is, can you bear with half a year without the graphics card?

It all comes down to whether you are willing to spend 3-4 months without a GPU or not.

I would do it, but I am biased as I do not really game over summer.

For me summer is the only time I can game, so I probably won’t sell him my card unless I find a really good deal. What do you guys think of the build?

The build is not bad but you do not really need that 960 evo, the mb is really expensive and good psus can be found cheaper than that.

 

Take a look at this. Should perform a little bit better in games. Especially when overclocked.

Yes, I know. Forgot about the WIFI card. Monitor/keyboard/mouse is personal choice. I was aiming just for the pc. When you add peripherals it would be ~1800. So it is a little bit over the budget. But it is worth those dollars. Boost in cpu(if oced quite significant) and huge boost in graphics department.
