G-sync or not

No, but its nice if you can afford it. It takes care of a micro stutters and adds extra smoothness.

 

G-Sync is weird. It ss very helpfull under 70FPS but then the price tag on G-Sync makes it a bad deal and you are better of buying a better GPU to get the higher FPS.

It's clearly not a necessity but considering gamers that want more than 60 FPS want the best experience and since high refresh rate monitores are expensive why not get the whole package?

 

what g sync will do is to remove screen tearing, which has nothing to do with lagging, stuttering or low FPS
