Hey all, just curious to get opinions about what would be a good workstation case;

It's been a while I haven't built a system, I'm overwhelmed by all those gaming components out there and I'm having a hard time picking a case that would be used in an office environment.

I have listed below which features interest me most in a system, in order:

- Support E-ATX motherboard, and accommodate longer power supply

- Must have at least 3 external 5.25" bays

- Easy to access 3.5" bays, as many of them as possible.

- As tool-less as possible

- I don't plan on watercooling the system

I have been looking at the Antec 300 Two, Fractal Design XL R2 and Fractal Design R6.

Not sure exactly what case you need, but I recommend getting a full tower case, and purchasing 3-4 noctua or be quiet case fans, as they use very quiet bearings and place them around the case. 2 in the front for intake, and 1 in the back for exhaust.

hi.

I can vouch for the Fractal XL R2. I ran a XL-ATX 6-core i7 4930K system with 780Ti in one and it was tough as hell and pretty damn quiet. It weighs a metric fuckton, though :P

I'd be curious how that compares to a metric ton or you know, murican ton

A Murican ton is roughly one average American caucasian male in the lower to middle class. A metric ton is exactly 1000 kilograms and a metric fuckton is just above a metric ton and waaaay below a Murican ton lel.

Well, using that formula and my weight as I fit that...

If the OP chooses that case it'll weigh waaay less than 165 lbs

Huh, somehow I saw that coming
