So, my pre built system came with Windows 10 pre installed, AND a Windows 10 disc.........

Would I be able to use that disc to install windows on my new PC?

I want to put my OS on an SSD for the new build along with a few of my favourite games, is that something I can do with the included disc? Im not really sure why it came with my PC, seen as the OS was preinstalled.

What you can do sometimes is after you've installed windows on your new pc and used the code that came with the old system, it will say it's not activated, you can call Microsoft support line and get them to transfer the code to your new pc as the codes are locked to the motherboard.

Use this guide to fix text problems in your postGo here and here for all your power supply needs

I am not saying it cant be done...but normally those prebuilt system licenses are OEM which means that they are "born" and die with a hardware component of such PC aka Motherboard or hard drive.... legally you would be breaching Microsoft Licensing when using it on another PC.... without using a hardware component from the original one.

I could be wrong, its been several years since I last read licensing material from microsoft but I am just sharing what I remember. Best regards!

Huh Ok. Am I able to move the OS from the HDD to the SSD instead then?

On same machine, yes. You could also use disc, if it's just plain install disc. But I think what you have is recovery disc. Which means it requires installed Windows to perform recovery tasks. Or that it installs OEM customized version with drivers and bloatware included. Overall it would be better that you create clean installer USB.
